How MIL Changed the Way I View Media B y Keith Tolentino Since I was in junior high I had been involved in media as a Media Arts student which got me into video editing, creating content and using different tools. I thought I had it all I had a great grasp of what media was all about. But after this class I saw that there is more to media than just what goes out on social media. What I learned is that media is also a platform for responsibility. Through Media and Information Literacy (MIL) I came to see the value in accessing, analyzing and evaluating info before I share or react. It is not just about creativity we also have to be wise in what we put out daily. The main role of media for me is communication.
